Complete in substance but pending review by a qualified adviser and the
[operator identity] details before the store opens for sales.
By buying from or using this site, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. Who we are
readhalcyon.com ("Halcyon") is operated by [legal operator name], [registered address], tax ID [NIF/VAT]. Contact: [contact email].
2. What we sell
We sell digital books (ebooks) in EPUB format. They are delivered electronically — there is no physical product and nothing is shipped.
3. Orders and payment
Checkout and payment are processed by Payhip, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and issues your receipt. Prices are shown in US dollars; any applicable VAT/tax is handled by Payhip at checkout. Your order is confirmed once payment is completed.
4. Delivery
After payment you receive an email with a download link, delivered by BookFunnel. You can use it to download your book and re-download it on your devices. See How it works.
5. Your licence to read
When you buy a book you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read it for your own private, non-commercial use. You may not:
- copy, resell, share, upload or redistribute the file, in whole or in part;
- remove copyright notices, or reproduce the work publicly;
- use the work to train, fine-tune or benchmark any machine-learning system.
All books remain the copyright of their author and rights holders. Book 1 of each series is offered free of charge; the same licence terms apply.
6. Refunds and withdrawal
Because books are digital and delivered instantly, specific rules apply to cancellations and refunds. These are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt, attack, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, and don't use it for anything unlawful.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The books are works of fiction for adult readers; any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental. The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. The version in force is the one published when you make a purchase.
